Yahoo caught providing information against Bloggers
Imagine a knock on the door after you have been on the internet, blogging, and the next moment you are under arrest. Not the latest BBC drama – but a real life one. Amnesty International today (27th October 2006) launched a campaign in defence of internet bloggers in many countries – including China, Tunisia and Iran who have been arrested for expressing views which have upset their governments. But how have they been tracked down? It turns out that they have been turned in by major internet providers such as Yahoo and Microsoft, who have supplied foreign governments with the information they need to pursue them. We’ll be asking these companies whether they believe in free speech.

How can I view yahoo mail desktop version on my mobile phone?
I have a nokia E90 communicator cellphone. I used to check my yahoo mail on my cellphone. I could see the desktop version yahoo mail as it would appear on a PC. But now for some reason I cannot see the desktop version yahoomail on my mobile. It always takes me to the new yahoo mobile page. Can somebody help me?

Yahoo Groups can be a great way to connect with friends, family, and business associates. It is simple to set-up. You can be an owner of a Yahoo Group with just a few clicks of a button.
What is a Yahoo Group? According to the Yahoo website, a Yahoo Group is any group of people who uses a Yahoo Group to privately share information, images, ideas, and more on the web. It is free, secure, and spam-protected.
What are the benefits of using a Yahoo Group? First, Yahoo Groups are free for both members and moderators. Second, privacy is a key issue with members. Everything discussed between members on the group is secluded from the public Internet users. If you are a part of a large group, only your Yahoo ID and email address are made public for the Yahoo Group users to see. Last, if you find you are not comfortable in a particular Yahoo Group, you can leave it at any time.

Create Your Yahoo! Group
1. You must obtain a Yahoo! ID and email address before beginning a Yahoo Group
2. Visit the Yahoo Group homepage at http://groups.yahoo.com
3. Click on Start a group above the My Groups heading
4. Browse or search for the category you want your group listed in
5. Click, Place my group here
6. Decide on a name for your group. (Its easier to brainstorm a name before creating the group) Make sure your group name best describes the purpose of your group
7. Now add your group name to the url. Yahoo will then add @yahoogroups.com to your group name.
8. Describe your group in the next section and then click Continue
9. Select the email address where you want to receive mail from your Yahoo Group. Type in the Word Verification.
10. You will then receive a Congratulations window, followed by a welcome email.
Customize Your Yahoo! Group
It is suggested you customize your group and make it unlisted where people can only join with your approval. Allow only group members to post messages to the group. By doing this it will prevent spammers from leaving messages on your group.
You will then need to choose your moderator and how the groups messages will be delivered
Set your privacy settings to only members
Now you can invite your friends or associates to become members
