Had to use xserver-xgl to get it working correctly. Each …

You’d be surprised how much work you can get done at the same time and manage by dividing the work-flow up across the 6 screens and 4 virtual desktops. I started with Dual screens over 10 years ago, it slowly progressed from there into 6, with every additional monitor increasing productivity.

Is a “diferent” computer, with superior capacity of RAM (In Terabytes!!!), hundreds and hundreds SCSI hard disks, extremaly powerfull processors (Made by IBM). Some works as extreme servers, anothers for NASA, another for tests.

goto nvnews (dot) net and lookup thread 126134 – thats one I reviewed before -

Yeah, I saw that linux doesn’t like matrox, but the few forum entries I saw before buying gave me hope…. worst case scenario (and i do mean worst case), i’ll use XP and virtualize linux. I feel pretty confident that I can get it running under linux though.

  25. d2globalinc - January 4, 2010 at 7:26 pm

Matrox doesn’t support linux, however there are ways to get it to work – check the nvidia forums for more information – I know there is a thread in there with instructions on how to get it to work right. I thought about trying 2 of those and running this whole setup on a single video card. I even thought of just getting a single TH2G to power only 3 monitors in Trip-SLI mode with this sytem under an XP dual boot and do some gaming benchmarks as well – maybe later :P
