    There is a selection at top which says ‘Source’ or ‘Destination’. You need to make sure you have the necessary one selected.

    Check the “destination” box instead of the “source” box at the top.

    I have cs3. I used the patch tool yesterday on some photos just like you show in this video and it worked awesome. Today I tried to use it again but I think my tool is broken. I make my selection and then when I drag the selection it takes the blemish and puts it over the smooth section I am trying to sample instead of replacing the blemish with the smooth section. Do you know how I can fix this?

    there is no patch tool in elements 7!!!

    I suck at photoshop, but when I try to use this tool and i click and drag from the middle, before I release it looks patched, but when i release the mouse click it goes back to normal, why?

    Wow! thats amazing!!!!!! never knew that photoshop could do that! but I’m not getting photoshop,I’m getting MS paint.Photoshop also is a paint place too.But I’m not using MS paint for like well whatever,I’m using it to recolor things. ^_^
