my ipod touch 2nd gen doesnt work fully with all the features why is that?

did u Jailbreak ur ipod touch.
so this did not work for my for some weird reason, whenever i click shift check for updates it gives me a message saying “ipod could not be restored firmware file is incompatible”? any suggestions?

what does gm mean?
One thing this OS does is drain the hell out of your battery. I wish they would have had the OS ask if you wish to allow the app to run in the background. Once you have a lot of apps running you’ll notice the life of the battery go by quick.
There’s not even a feature to turn this off currently.
can someone please help me i downloaded the ipod touch 2g 4.0 firmware and then extracted it right after i downloaded it i extracted it and 6 files showed up restore, buildmanifest , a folder that says firmware, kernelcache.release.n72,018-7316-130.dmg and 018-6462-368.dmg can someone plz tell me what im supposed to do
